  8. Acorn Computers has released the latest version of its Programmers'
  9. Reference Manual containing all the information required to exploit the
  10. features of RISC OS 3.

  12. The manual has been totally restructured to take account of the differences
  13. between programming for RISC OS 2 and RISC OS 3 and is now in excess of
  14. 3,000 pages long - almost double the size of the original PRM.

  16. The manual is contained in four high quality, compact bound volumes plus an
  17. additional index volume. It will also include a newly revised RISC OS Style
  18. Guide, available from the autumn. (Those who buy the new PRM before this
  19. date will be sent a copy of the Style Guide as soon as it is available.)

  21. Acorn's Product Manager, Neil Gardner explained that the new manuals had
  22. been designed with ease of use in mind. "As an added bonus, we have included
  23. many programming examples in the text, and there are also detailed sections
  24. describing ways to exploit the various aspects of programming for RISC OS."

  29. Upgrades for existing owners of the RISC OS 2 PRM are available for #59,
  30. plus #4 postage and packing, from Vector Services Ltd., 13 Dennington Road,
  31. Wellingborough, Northants, NN8 2RL. Cheques should be made payable to "Acorn
  32. Direct" and the index front cover of the old manual only should be sent as
  33. proof of ownership of the RISC OS 2 version.
